Last week I found a message in my inbox on Facebook; someone asking me if I would like to review a film entitled “Flight: The Genius of Birds” for Illustra Media and Randolf Productions. I was immediately interested, of course, as ornithology is my favorite subject. Something else about the film intrigued me as well; it was based on intelligent design, and the evidence of it was discussed using birds as an example.
I replied as soon as I had seen the message – yes, I would love to do a review! I felt privileged to do such a thing, and would certainly post it on my blog and encourage others to look into watching the film.
Even better, I would receive a second copy of the film so that I could host a giveaway here on my blog, so keep an eye out for that! You can watch the trailer HERE.
Having grown up with parents who made it a goal to teach from the Bible, and emphasize the importance of a literal 6-day creation, I have always had a good base on which to stand. I was taught to study both sides, come to my own decision, consult the Bible, and be wary of modern-day scientific theories. Not saying that science is not to be trusted, but remember that the Bible is complete Truth, and science has to add up with the Bible to be considered fact.
I am currently working on several projects involving the discussion and debate between creation and evolutionary theory, so keep an eye out for more posts about that as well.
Until then, happy birding, and keep seeking Truth!
